The audit log
Every change to people, access, roles, applications, keys and webhooks writes an audit event in the same transaction as the change itself. Events can't be edited or deleted, by anyone.
Who can see what
| You are | You see |
|---|---|
Staff with audit.view |
Everything |
| An app owner | Events for your own apps, including what support did in them |
| Anyone | Changes made to your own account (target_user_id=me) |
Reading an event
Audit event shows the action (for example entitlement.disabled), the actor (a person, an API key or the system), the target, the before and after values, and the request ID. Quote the request ID when you contact support. It ties the event to the exact API call.
How far back
The audit log keeps one year online. Older events are archived and available through support. Exports (CSV or NDJSON) are available to staff from the Audit Log toolbar.
